This Sunday there is a secular holiday with religious roots. Valentine's Day has come to be all about romantic relationships, cards, flowers and fancy dinners.
But it didn't begin that way.
It all started with AGAPE, a brotherly, neighborly love that one Christ follower had for others in need, in pain.
At First UMC Windsor, we'll return to those roots this Sunday, as we celebrate God's love and ourown. There might still be chocolate ;-)
But more importantly, at 10:30 AM on Sunday, there will be worship, music, prayer and baptism. Hope to see you there!

Lent begins next week Ash Wednesday is February 17th: watch worship online here. Rev. Emily and Father Bill will be on Walnut Street from 12-3PM with ashes. We will deliver Lenten bags with daily devotionals and items to create your own sacred space at home. A special bag for each child includes crafts, prayers, and ash tattoos. Peel off the plastic, press cross to skin, wet with water, hold a few seconds, and remove paper. Voila! If any adult prefers an ash tattoo, we have plenty to share! Stop by the church office Tues-Friday 10AM-3PM to pick-up.
Soup Sale in 10 Days The Missions Team will sponsor a Soup Sale this month to support Mission Projects.
