United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) invites us into the world to be in connection with people across our communities. We are spiritually changed when we help others; and others are spiritually changed when we come along side them to work in mission, mercy and justice.  For about 50 years United Methodists have offered a framework for people to engage in short-term mission locally, nationally, and globally. Our primary purpose is to live out our faith by creating long term relationships with communities throughout the world. UMVIM teams can be medical, dental, and health care volunteers. They can be construction teams or programs for children and youth (Vacation Bible School) or teach vocational skills. Volunteers are lay, clergy, young and old; all with different skills, abilities and vocations. UMVIM works with the General Board of Global Missions. More info at umvim.org.

As we continue to walk through Holy Week, we hope you will enjoy the pre-recorded Maundy Thursday worship service, and join us online (live-streamed) or in the sanctuary at 6:00PM this Good Friday evening (both links below). Both are brief, serious, but important worship services: how can we appreciate the light and joy of Easter without the darkness of the Cross and Tomb?

Good Friday, April 2nd at 6:00PM for a Passion reading and Holy Communion.
Then, of course, on Sunday morning, I invite you to the beach at Lake Windsor. We'll gather under the bandshell at 6:00A.M. with our siblings in Christ from Bethel Lutheran, First Christian, St. Alban's Episcopal and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. There will be music, Scripture, prayer and a message. As we watch the sun rise, we will honor the Son who rose!

At 10:15A.M. our church will also be filled with music (welcome back to guest organist Kati Rittner) and during our 10:30A.M. worship celebration, our Virtual Choir will offer another sensation (many thanks, singers, for braving technology!) There will be a Children's Egg Hunt during worship (?!?) and afterwards on the lawn (around 11:30A.M.) Please invite your families, friends, colleagues and neighbors... there is much to share and celebrate!

Sharing the Gospel in Eastern Europe (North Macedonia)
Thank you for supporting this month's Mission Focus: our United Methodist missionary in Eastern Europe, Jennifer Moore. Covid-19 infection rates and deaths are high, as vaccines remain unavailable. Moral is low and fear of future lockdowns is great. If you haven't yet given, we pledge $5 per member each year (around $1000) and welcome you to join us!
