LIVE worship Sunday 09/06/2020 at 10:30AM, Begin and End with Jesus
(feed begins a few minutes early)
Are we nearing an end?
Or just beginning?

This Sunday is our final Pray Every Day series worship, the conclusion to 10 summer weeks of deep prayer and contemplation, using Christian prayer beads. It has been good to quietly be with the Lord when the world around us is reeling in chaos. We hope you have found some peace, some connection, clutching your beads, and actively finding ways each week to practice your faith. This week we end at the beginning - with the empty cross at the end of each bead strand. All our days, our very lives, begin and end and begin again in Jesus Christ. He is the reason for every season, a firm foundation for our every baby step of faith.

As the summer slides into autumn, we wonder how you are doing? Are you worshiping in the church, online, or somewhere else? Do you still feel connected? If not, what might you need in order to feel that way? Some have suggested I share more information with you: that we have only had about 25 of our maximum of 50 people present on Sundays in the sanctuary, that we are all wearing masks, holding social distance, and using hand sanitizer, and that everyone present is feeling safe. There is also a possibility for those who want to come to the church but not be in the sanctuary on Sundays - we can have 35 people or less in Fellowship Hall or the basement classroom. If you'd like to visit the sanctuary, but not when others are present, it and the beautiful Prayer Room (off to the right of the stage/dais) are open Tuesday - Friday 10:00AM - 3:00PM. If you let me or Ali in the Office know when you are coming, I'd be honored to offer you a private service of Communion, counsel or prayer.

Please worship with us this Sunday at 10:30AM in the sanctuary (with Covid-19 precautions), or online at this YouTube link (which you can also find on our Facebook page and church website)... thanks for your prayers and presence! We will be celebrating a Virtual Fellowship Hour after worship. Grab yourself a coffee, cuppa tea or something delightful to eat, then click this link to catch up!

Blessings, love, peace and my PRAYERS be with you, Pastor Emily

The Finance Committee will meet on Tuesday, September 15th at 5:30PM, one week later than usual. All are welcome.
Our church finances are holding steady, as we look towards our annual generosity campaign in September and October. Please look for ways to EXTEND your love and giving this season. And remember: you can stop by the office or give via mail, online, or even text message. Please take a moment to pray about your contribution and joyfully give whatever God leads you to offer!
Leadership Council has been postponed until October as Chairman Perry Cogburn will be away on a motorcycle tour. Safe travels, Perry!
On Thursday, September 17th at 5:30PM the Thursday Women's Bible Study group will meet to begin a new text:"Footnotes, Major Lessons from Minor Bible Characters" by Julie Lyles Carter. This four-week video study is designed to encourage us as we discover our potential to shine brightly for God. Currently the plan is to meet at the church with safety precautions and social distancing. Please let Pat Ferrell (970-227-4034) know if you would like to order a workbook (around $12). Books are also available from Cokesbury.com and Christianbooks.com. If you are not comfortable meeting in person, Pat can set up a Zoom group.

September is Suicide Awareness Month
Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death in people aged 10-24. In Colorado, suicide was the leading cause of death among youth ages 10-18 between 2013-2017. Our children desperately need extra support right now! They are struggling in a time where we have to be socially distanced and outlets such as sports and other programs have been put on hold due to the pandemic. And we have received a grant from our Mountain Sky Conference to offer some real, timely support!
In an effort to increase awareness and education for teen suicide, we are holding a Youth Mental Health First Aid Course.
This is a 8-hour public education program will go over risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, early intervention, and how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This course is designed for adults who regularly interact with adolescents.
If you would like to register, please email the instructor, Dr. Shannon Devlin or call/text her at 970-381-4938 with your questions or interest.
Space is limited so please register today!
Although this is a free program for participants, all donations of money or pre-packaged food/drink would be helpful to defray costs and be able to continue this education for more people. Please contact Donna Dodrill to donate by email at and by phone 303-641-6067.

Even though this plywood will be on the ceiling of the newest Habitat for Humanity Faith Build home, we can easily see all the well wishes and blessings that we gathered on this "Blessing Board." Join Pastor Emily and handful of others on our Build Day, Saturday, Sept. 19th. Email Cathy or Cheryl now!
